Ann and Dennis slide show

What can I say... I sound like a broken record, but I really can't wait untill May 27 to document Ann and Dennis' wedding. Next year all together is going to be so great, when I can show joy, happiness and the celebration of LOVE thru my photography to all the couples. Ann and Dennis' wedding day sounds so gorgeous. The ceremony is going to be in an Armenian orthodox church and the reception is at the Tavern on the Green.

Congrats to Ann and Dennis with their engagement!

Have to say I am so blessed with beautiful couples! Ann and Dennis were so natural and I didn't think they watched the "next american model" to get ready for the shoot, as they say. The day was gorgeous and last sunday we hang around their neighborhood on upper west side. Here are some of my favorites.

WPJA contest winnings!!

Five of my photos scored in the very prestigious Wedding Photojournalist Association contest!! http://www.wpja.com
Here are the images:

JUDGES COMMENTS: A barefoot bride, a groom in red tennis shoes and Shea Stadium. What else do you need? You need to catch them in peak leap with great expressions and shear delight. What else can be said of such a joyful portrait?

(I actually shot the photo in the Philadelphia stadium).

JUDGES COMMENTS: The originality of this picture made it stand out right away. The photographer made sure to include both shoes in this image of a jumping/dancing woman, and I think that really makes the frame a success.

JUDGES COMMENTS: Wonderfully expressive moment.

Amanda and Evan engagement pics.

Importance of engagement shoot and back up equipment.

Today I shot engagement pics of Amanda and Evan in the Village of New York city. The day was warm and sunny and we all couldn't ask for a better day in November. We met at the couple's apartment building on MacDougal Street and I immediately loved the hallway where I started to shoot away. The guys were shy at the beginning but quckly warmed up. I really enjoyed photographing them and can't wait to shoot their Central Park wedding on January 14th. I wanted to say how important the e-shoot is. It's not just to get a photo of yourself to put in a frame but great opportunity to get comfortable in front of a camera and the photographer before the Big Day as well as for the photographer to see how you interact with each other and learn about you. Anyway, we walk around those cool streets and my camera breakes! I was so glad to have a back up camera!

New lens baby!!!

I got this new lens that I am absolutely crazy about. I tried it last weekend and it works great on details and portrait shots. You focus it manually in the center and it makes the edges blur. It requires some practice to get used to the lens but I am sure it will be great asset to my wedding photography and happy clients. Here are some my favorites.
